**** All planned timing is weather permitting ****

Cadillac has informed us that milling in the Gold section will begin on Thursday, 9/18. The Gold section will be divided into two; milling, grading and the first layer of paving done will be completed in the first half, then in the second half. Once the first course of asphalt is done for both halves, the final paving will take place.

First half:

  • Glengarry

  • Williamsbury

  • Hamilton

  • Morningview Terrance

Second half:

  • Cranbrook Cross

  • Chewton Road

  • Chewton Cross

  • Clifton Road

  • N. Clifton Road

Milling on the first half streets is scheduled for Thursday (9/18) and Friday (9/19). Grading will begin on Friday 9/19 and will take 5-7 days, depending on the condition of the subgrade. Paving is tentatively scheduled for Saturday 9/27 and Monday 9/29.

Milling for second half streets will begin after first half paving is complete, around the end of September.

Details on milling and grading are provided HERE and HERE. Reminders about milling, grading and paving:

  • Front door notices will be placed about 48 hours prior to milling.

  • There can be no parking on the street during milling, grading or paving. Vehicles in the street will be subject to towing.

  • During milling and grading, residents will have access to get into/out of their driveways. HOWEVER, there may be temporary delays if the equipment is behind a driveway or blocking the street. Residents are encouraged to park elsewhere before 7 am if they need their vehicles during the workday when the streets are being milled/graded. If you choose to remain in your driveway or garage, plan to leave early in case there is a delay.

  • Streets being paved will be completely closed to ALL traffic. Residents will not be able to get into or out of their driveways. Plan on no access for the entire paving day.

  • Please made sure lawn crews, landscapers, baby-sitters, contractors and guests are aware of the access and parking limitations.

  • Cadillac will be placing temporary “No Parking” signs. Please respect and observe these “no parking” areas, even if they are on adjacent streets — they equipment operators need room to navigate onto the streets being milled/graded/paved. Vehicles parked in “no parking” areas are subject to towing.

Garbage and recycling on Friday

Place garbage and recycling bins on the lawn side of the curb on Friday. The contractor will have to work with Priority to ensure the trucks get through. If your pick-up is missed, call Priority directly. 855-927-8365 or 586-228-1200.

Parking suggestions

Parking alternatives to consider:

Glengarry and Williamsbury — park on Bradway or on streets north of Bradway that are not in the construction zone. Note that Bradway Blvd. will be used to for trucks providing/removing materials from the streets being milled/graded. If you are parking on Bradway, leave a sizable distance between your parked vehicle and the Glengarry/Williamsbury/Hamilton corners so the equipment can navigate corners and/or be staged.

Hamilton and east part of Morningview — park on the Chewtons or Cliftons, or on Hamilton north of Bradway.

West part of Morningview — park on Overhill or Morningview west of Overhill.

Avoid parking on Cranbrook Cross - the contractor will be using Cranbrook Cross to for trucks supplying/removing materials from the blocks south and will need room to navigate.

Schedule updates

Please check the blog posts frequently for any updates to the milling, grading, paving schedules. The timing on these operations is fluid, impacted by the condition of the sub-grades under our streets, and weather conditions (especially if it rains).
