Construction Update — Green Section 9/23/26
*** Please do not drain your pool into the street, especially during the road construction. Pool water can soak and deteriorate the sub-grades, which can in turn result in deterioration of the new asphalt. We have come too far and paid too much to have our new roads damaged by pool water. Pool water should be drained on your property this year. ***
Construction Update from RCOC

Reminder of this week
Phase 1 paving will be completed today, and streets should be open by the end of the day.
Allied will complete preparation for curbs on Bradway west of Hamilton, then begin curb and driveway approach removals on the northern side of Bradway east of Hamilton. As a reminder, Allied will place temporary stone to allow driveway access after the approach is removed. However, there may be a delay of an hour or two between approach removal and placement of the new stone. Plan ahead and park your vehicle elsewhere if you are on a tight schedule.
Goretski’s will begin installing curbs on Bradway west of Hamilton on Friday 9/25. Front door notices will be posted. Residents should plan to be out of their driveways for up to 14 days. Remove all vehicles you will need from the garage/driveway prior to 6:30 on the date shown on the notice, to avoid getting blocked in for the 14 days. Bradway will be completely closed at Lahser beginning Friday 9/25 for installation of concrete gutter across the road and will remain closed for up to 5 days until the concrete is sufficiently cured. Traffic will have to detour around the closure. Barricades and signage will be in place to mark the closure. Do not move the barricades. Residents who live on Bradway can use Tuckahoe from either Lahser or Maple to cut over to Bradway.
Don’s Restoration will continue laying topsoil in Phase 1.
Barricades have been placed on the side streets to indicate intersections with Bradway are now closed. Unless you live on Bradway, please do not turn from the side streets onto Bradway as you will likely not be able to get through to your destination. There are two crews working on Bradway now, with materials and equipment also stored in the road. The street is often blocked in multiple places. Unless you live on Bradway, avoid it altogether. Next week
Goretski’s will continue pouring curbs and begin concrete driveways on Bradway west of Hamilton. Curbs are scheduled to be completed on Monday 9/28; driveways are scheduled for Tuesday 9/29. Late in the week, Allied will backfill behind the new curbs.
Curb and driveway approach removals on Bradway east of Hamilton will continue, followed by installation of edge drain.
Don’s Restoration will complete topsoil in Phase 1 and may begin laying sod.
Week of October 5
Milling (asphalt removal) on the west end of Bradway will begin the week of October 5. See additional information about milling HERE.
Allied will continue edge drain installation and preparation for curbs on the east end of Bradway.
Don’s Restoration should complete sod installation in Phase 1, then move to Phase 2 to lay topsoil in the construction-damaged areas.
Looking ahead
Phase 2 paving (second and final layer of asphalt) will be scheduled sometime in the next few weeks.
Concrete curbs and driveway approaches on Bradway east of Hamilton will likely begin around October 12.
Traffic and parking on Bradway
Residents should anticipate that Bradway will be temporarily blocked with construction in multiple places for the next few weeks. Materials and equipment are being stored in the street, close to where they will be used, narrowing the lanes available for traffic to pass. Please respect the barricades and cones indicating the road is blocked ahead. Need to figure out at detour? Click HERE for a Village map.
We have had several instances of residents driving past flaggers or barricades and getting very close to moving construction equipment, including driving underneath the arm of an excavator while it was moving materials. This is very dangerous for both the drivers and the construction workers. Unless you live on Bradway, avoid it altogether. If you live on Bradway, stay well back from moving equipment; be patient and wait for the flaggers or workers to clearly signal it is safe to proceed.
Allied continues to use Bradway Park for material storage and staging. Truck traffic in this area is significant. Barricades have been placed on Cranbrook Cross to indicate it is closed to thru-traffic. Respect the barricades and find an alternative route to avoid the congestion and delays in this area.
DO NOT PARK ON BRADWAY during the workday. Remove vehicles parked overnight by 6:30 am. All of the side streets provide potential parking alternatives.
Parking alternatives during curbing
Residents on Bradway west of Hamilton will not have driveway access for a number of days during and after curb installation. Any of the side streets north or south of Bradway are good alternatives for parking. Avoid parking on both sides of a side street, particularly near Bradway, to ensure emergency vehicles, garbage trucks and other traffic can get through. Residents with mobility issues who will have difficulty walking to/from their vehicle parked on a side street should contact Mark Meszler at mmeszler@roadrehab.solutions.
Sprinkler winterization
Don’s Restoration is responsible to fix any damage to sprinkler systems caused by the construction and would like to do so before systems are winterized. Try to hold off on sprinkler winterization as long as possible to allow Don’s time to get sod installed and your system tested. If the system is winterized before Don’s is able to complete restoration and test the system, they will fix any construction damage when they return in the spring. Importantly, residents can choose to have their own contractors repair construction damage, but will not be reimbursed for doing so.
Garbage pick-up
Place your garbage at the curb (or behind the curb, if there is construction on your street) on the scheduled garbage day. Priority is supposed to be picking up as scheduled in spite of the construction. Having said that, some of the Priority drivers have been passing by streets under construction, in spite of being waved through by the construction crews. If your garbage pick-up is missed, report it to Priority Waste as soon as possible via the portal HERE or via phone to 855-927-8365. They are responsible for coming back to retrieve the missed pick-ups. Note that Priority will not come on Saturday for a missed Friday pick-up; instead, they will normally come sometime the following week.
Reminders
Please don’t park on either side of any street where there is active construction. Park in driveways or on a different street.
For your safety and the safety of the construction crew, PLEASE SLOW DOWN in the construction zones.
