Construction Update - Gold Section Curb Work

Doan is running ahead of the curbing schedule announced last week (6/11/25 blog post). Weather permitting, the revised plan for curbing in the Gold Section this week is discussed below the map.

Map of Gold section curbing plan as of 6/17/25

Revised curbing schedule for the week of 6/16:

  • Doan anticipates they will finish setting curbs on the north side of Morningview and west side of Clifton on Tuesday 6/17. (shown as green on the map)

  • On Wednesday 6/18, Doan will begin work on the east side of N. Clifton moving from Clifton toward Chewton Cross, then turning right onto the south side of Chewton Cross, then right onto the west side of Chewton. (shown as blue on map)

  • Toward the end of the day on Wednesday 6/18, Doan will start on the east side of N. Clifton, between Chewton Cross and Morningview. On Thursday, Doan will complete the rest N. Clifton, then move to the west side of Hamilton. (shown as bright orange on the map)

  • On Thursday 6/19 and Friday 6/20, Doan will pick up the small segment of Chewton Cross between Chewton and Hamilton, then turn right to lay curb along the west side of Hamilton, then turn right on Cranbrook Cross out to Maple. They will then move to the east side of Hamilton starting at from Maple, working up to Cranbrook Cross, then turning right to complete the area shown as yellow on the map. (area shown as yellow on the map above.)

***Please note, there is a chance of thundershowers in the forecast for Wednesday. If it rains, Doan cannot lay concrete — the planned work will shift a next day, with completion on Monday 6/23. (Doan does not plan to lay concrete on Saturday 6/21).***

See further discussion of the curbing process, including impact on parking, in the 6/4/25 construction update HERE. Residents will not have access to their driveways for about 14 days once the curbing begins.

Cadillac is placing notices on front doors of residents who will be impacted by the curbing. To avoid getting blocked in, please make sure to have your vehicles out of your driveway and parked on a different street by 7 am on the date indicated on the notice. For residents on Clifton, N. Clifton, Chewton and Chewton Cross, the best bet for parking during the day is probably on Overhill. When the contractors get to the area shown as yellow on the map, residents from Hamilton and Cranbrook Cross can park on the streets where curbing is complete (on the opposite side of the new curbs). Temporary “no parking signs” have been placed to remind residents of the areas where parking during the day is restricted.

Garbage pick-up

Place cans at the street on Friday as you normally would. If there is work on your street on garbage day, please place cans on the opposite side if possible.
