Construction Update — Yellow Section 5/19/25
Pre-construction work has begun in the Yellow section. Residents can expect the following:
This week
Placement of construction signage will continue this week. Porta-potties will be placed in the Yellow section in the few days.
Beginning Tuesday 5/20, Mike’s Landscaping will be prepping sprinklers in the Gold and Yellow sections by confirming they are operational and moving heads back from the area to be impacted by construction. If Mike’s in unable to locate the sprinkler controls to turn on the sprinklers, they may knock on residents’ doors to ask for assistance.
On Thursday and Friday, the contractor will begin saw-cutting driveway approaches. The saw-cuts mark the line at which the driveway approach will be removed to make way for the construction.
RCOC surveyors will be in the Gold and Yellow sections setting stakes for construction. Generally (but not always), the stakes in residents’ yards are set 5 feet from where the back of the new curb will be located. Please leave the stakes in place throughout the project.
Soil erosion bags will be placed this week in catch basins and manholes throughout the construction zone.
All construction (and pre-construction) activities will cease, and contractors will exit the neighborhood by 3 pm this Friday, in anticipation of the holiday weekend.
Next week
No work will be performed on Memorial Day.
Mike’s will continue sprinkler work as discussed above.
Surveying, saw-cutting and other pre-construction preparation work will continue throughout the week.
At this point, Cadillac plans that construction work in Yellow will begin in the Indian Mound area, likely the week of June 16. We expect to have further information on the schedule for the Yellow section next week.
