Construction Update — Yellow Section 11/12/25
Construction Schedule Update from Cadillac
The paving schedule continues to be a bit fluid. Thank you in advance for your patience as we sprint to the end of this project!
Rest of Wednesday 11/12
Cadillac is laying asphalt driveways in the Indian Mound area. They will get at least a first layer down on all the drives, then start putting the second/final layer down. It is unlikely they will get the second layer down on all driveways before final paving of the roads, meaning that the final asphalt paving on drives will be next week.
Mike’s got a delivery of sod today and will be installing as quickly as they can over the next few days (they will be staying out of the way of the paving crews).
M-openings should be re-opened by the end of the day.
Thursday 11/13
Paving on Glengarry Circle East — this is a change from the previous schedule which had this street being paved on Saturday. Glengarry Circle East will be closed to all traffic and parking for paving Thursday. Impacted residents have been given front door notices. The crew will be paving Williamsbury first on Thursday, then coming to Glengarry Circle East. Please remove any vehicle you will need from your driveway/garage by mid-morning on Thursday and park it elsewhere. Amberly, Glengarry or Glengarry Circle West are options.
Doan will be working in the Yellow section Thursday, Friday and Saturday completing two remaining concrete driveways, remaining walkways, ADA ramps and areas where paving and/or milling has damaged the curb.
Friday 11/14
Paving in Indian Mound area
Cadillac will pave the base layer in the spots prepared for repairs, first thing in the morning.
They will then start at the Glengarry Circle East entrance, pave Indian Mound South and Indian Mound West and as far as they can along the north side of the “square” (yellow on the map below). Streets marked in yellow on the map will be closed to all traffic and parking on Friday; the newly-paved roads will be re-opened by the end of the day.
Asphalt trucks will enter from Covington Road to supply the pavers. The Covington entrance will be open to traffic, but drivers may experience delays as the asphalt trucks navigate to back in. Plan ahead and leave early.
Residents on streets being paved will need to move vehicles out of their driveways/garages and park elsewhere by 7 am on Friday. Parking options include the area marked in blue on the map, Glengarry Road or Amberly. Please avoid parking on Glengarry Circle East to allow room for the paving crews to navigate as they get started.
Bloomfield Township has requested Priority Waste to move garbage pick-up for Indian Mound to Monday 11/17. We will post on the blog when this is confirmed.
Doan will continue concrete work as discussed above.
Mike’s will continue landscape work.
Saturday 11/15
Cadillac will finish paving the Indian Mound area, starting where they left off on Friday. Indian Mound Road, Indian Mound Trail and Indian Mound East (blue area on the map below) will be closed to all traffic and parking. The Glengarry Circle East entrance will be open to access the west side of the area. Residents who need their vehicles on Saturday should remove them from the garage/driveway and park elsewhere — the streets paved on Friday are a good option, as are Covington School and Dorstone.
Doan will continue concrete work.
Mike’s will be doing landscape repairs, laying sod.
Monday 11/17
Paving on N. Glengarry, which will be closed to all traffic and parking. If you need your vehicle that day, park it elsewhere by 7 am to ensure you don’t get blocked in. Parking options include Amberly, Glengarry Circle West and East, and Sandringham.
Mike’s will continue landscape work.
Tuesday 11/18
Paving on Sandringham and cul-de-sacs, which will be closed to all traffic and parking on Tuesday. Parking alternatives if you need to use your vehicle that day include Glengarry Road, Glengarry Circle East and West, and Ardmoor. Park elsewhere before 7 am to avoid getting blocked in.
Mike’s will continue landscape work.
Rest of the week of 11/17
Cadillac will finish the top coat on remaining asphalt driveways sometime the week of 11/17, date(s) TBD.
Fort Wayne is scheduled on Tuesday 11/18 and Wednesday 11/19 to adjust the height of manholes in the roadways. These have been covered with asphalt during paving. Fort Wayne will remove the asphalt covering, raise the structure to be level with the pavement, and install a concrete collar. The concrete will need to cure for several days and will be coned off. This work may block the street for several hours, and traffic may need to detour. Residents will want to allow a little extra time to navigate our newly paved roads while this work is going on.
Mike’s will continue landscape work until all restoration that can be done this fall is completed. This work will likely continue until the end of the month. If your sprinklers were winterized before they could be repaired/tested, Mike’s will be back in the spring to complete any needed repairs.
Map showing planned paving order in Indian Mound area
Green areas (repairs) will be done first on Friday 11/14 then paving in the yellow area. Blue area will be paved Saturday 11/15.
