Construction Update — Gold Section 9/24/25
Construction update from RCOC
**** ALL PLANNED TIMING IS WEATHER PERMITTING ****
Remainder of this week
Wednesday 9/24 is a washout. Rain in the forecast all day means there will be no construction work.
Thursday 9/25 and Friday 9/26, Miller Brothers will be milling Williamsbury then Morningview Terrace.
Springline will complete grading of Hamilton and N. Glengarry on Thursday and Friday in preparation for paving. They will then move on to Williamsbury and Morningview once milling is completed.
On Saturday 9/27, Cadillac will pave N. Glengarry then Hamilton. These streets will be completely closed to all traffic and parking. Residents will not have access to their driveways — in or out — until the road is reopened. Residents will need to plan ahead and park elsewhere before 6:30 am if they need to leave their driveways on Saturday. Please inform lawn crews, contractors, sitters and guests of the road closure and parking restrictions. Vehicles parked in the street impeding the paving process will be towed. See further information, including parking suggestions below.
Next week
Springline will continue grading on Williamsbury and Morningview in preparation for paving.
On Thursday 10/2, Cadillac is scheduled to pave Williamsbury and Morningview. these streets will be completely closed to all traffic and parking. See further information below.
Miller Brothers is scheduled to begin milling on the 2nd half streets in Gold — Chewton, Chewton Cross, Clifton, N. Clifton and Cranbrook Cross — on Friday 10/3 and Saturday 10/4. We will communicate the sequencing of the streets when that information is available.
Springline will begin grading on 2nd half streets at the end of next week, as the milling finishes.
Looking ahead
The week of 10/6, Springline will continue grading the 2nd half streets to prepare them for paving. Paving will likely be scheduled toward the end of that week.
Once the 2nd half streets are paved, concrete curb/gutter will be placed across Cranbrook Cross at the intersections with Hamilton, Williamsbury and Glengarry. This is part of the drainage system, to ensure water moves into storm drains. Residents can see an example of this at Wooddale and Half Moon.
Milling, grading and paving - access and parking restrictions
During milling and grading, residents will have access to their driveways, although they may experience delays as the equipment moves along the street. NO STREET PARKING IS PERMITTED DURING MILLING, GRADING OR PAVING. Vehicles parked in the street are subject to towing.
Springline will complete grading on each street the day before it is scheduled for paving. There will be barrels at various intervals along the street. Drive slowly to avoid damaging the subgrade.
Please inform lawn/landscape crews of scheduled paving days and request that they come on a different day.
Paving on Glengarry and Hamilton
Cadillac will pave south to north (from Maple to Bradway, skipping over Cranbrook Cross), using a full-width paving process. For the south blocks of Glengarry and Hamilton, asphalt trucks will be staged on Cranbrook Cross and back into Glengarry/Hamilton to supply the paver. For the north blocks, the asphalt trucks will be staged on Bradway and will back into Glengarry/Hamilton. The asphalt will be very hot when laid — do not walk on it or allow your pets to do so. Once the asphalt has sufficiently cooled, Cadillac will reopen the street.
On Friday night, 9/26, Cadillac will be staging paving equipment on Cranbrook Cross. Avoid parking on Cranbrook Cross starting Friday evening until the paving is complete.
Parking suggestions during Glengarry/Hamilton paving
Glengarry — park on Bradway, leaving at least 150 feet between your vehicle and the intersections with Cranbrook Cross, Glengarry, Williamsbury or Hamilton. The Glengarry block north of Bradway, Endsleigh and Covington Place) are also options.
Hamilton — park on the Hamilton block north of Bradway, on Clifton, N. Clifton, Chewton or Chewton Cross.
Do not park on Cranbrook Cross (staging area for asphalt trucks) or Williamsbury or Morningview (scheduled for grading on Saturday). Cadillac will place no parking signs in areas where parking is prohibited.
Milling/grading on Williamsbury and Morningview
Milling will begin on Williamsbury on Thursday 9/25, then move to Morningview on 9/26. Grading will begin after a street is milled. Ensure lawn crews, contractors, sitters and guests understand that there can be no daytime street parking during this work. Parking suggestions:
Morningview — park on Overhill or on the Morningview blocks west of Overhill, leaving at least 150 feet between your vehicle and an intersection. Clifton and N. Clifton are also options.
Williamsbury — park on Bradway leaving at least 150 feet between your vehicle and an intersection. Streets north of Bradway are also a good option.
Once the first layer of asphalt is down on Glengarry/Hamilton and the streets reopen, they will be another parking option.
Garbage pick-up
Place garbage/recycling out on Thursday night/Friday morning as you would normally. If your street is scheduled for milling or grading, place the cans behind the curb - Priority can still pick them up and they will not impede milling or grading equipment. The contractor will have to work with Priority to allow garbage/recycling trucks to get through. If your pick-up is missed, call Priority directly. 855-927-8365 or 586-228-1200.
