Construction Update — Gold Section 10/22/25

Schedule update from RCOC

***** All planned timing is weather dependent *****

Remainder of this week

  • With today’s rain, Doan will now be pouring M-openings on Friday 10/24 and doing other miscellaneous concrete work (including front walks) on Saturday 10/25. These intersections with M-openings have been prepped and are currently closed:

    • Chewton, Clifton and Cranbrook Cross at Maple.

    • Chewton Cross at Hamilton

    • N. Clifton at Clifton

    • Morningview at Hamilton

    • Glengarry at Cranbrook Cross (on the north side of the intersection)

Residents will need to detour around the closed intersections until the concrete has sufficiently cured, and the intersections are reopened sometime next week.

  • Mike’s Landscaping will be setting blue stone front walks.

Next week

  • Springline will prep an M-opening across Chewton Cross at N. Clifton on Tuesday 10/28; Doan will pour the concrete on Wednesday 10/29. The intersection will be closed for about a week starting 10/28; drivers will need to detour around the closure.

  • There are a handful of asphalt driveway approaches that need to be installed in the Gold section. This work will likely happen next week, but the specific day is not yet determined. Impacted residents will not be able to get into/out of their driveways for most of the day, to allow prep time and 2 layers of asphalt. Parking in the street (leaving room between the vehicle and the driveway so the equipment has room) will be the easiest option.

Week of November 3

  • The second and final course of asphalt paving on Gold section roads will likely occur the first week of November (and may be as early as Saturday, November 1). Timing will depend on the weather, and how quickly the last M-opening is ready for traffic.

  • Sewer and drainage structures located in the street were lowered prior to milling and have been paved over. After the second course of asphalt is completed, the asphalt over the structures will be removed, the structures will be raised to the level of street, and a cement collar installed around the structures. The structures will then be relined.

  • Mike’s Landscaping will complete sprinkler repairs and topsoil/sod around the asphalt driveway approaches. Restoration work is still needed in several areas where installation of sleeves under driveways or sidewalks is needed for irrigation lines. Topsoil and sod will follow irrigation system repairs. This work may flip into the week of November 10, but should be completed by mid-November.

WE ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH!!
