Construction update - Additional Concrete Work in Gold Section 10/3/25

After streets in the Gold Section are paved with the first layer of asphalt, the contractors will begin to install concrete in “M openings” at some of the intersections. The M openings are essentially an extension of concrete curb and gutter across a road for water drainage in areas that might otherwise be too flat for the water to flow into catch basins. (There is an example at Half Moon and Wooddale.)

On Saturday 10/4, Springline will begin prepping M openings for concrete to be poured on Monday 10/6 in the following locations (see map below):

Locations to be closed to ALL traffic:

Hamilton at Maple

Glengarry at Maple

Locations where one lane will be blocked and one lane will be open

Hamilton at Bradway

Williamsbury at Bradway

Glengarry at Bradway

Barricades will be placed across Hamilton and Glengarry at Maple blocking ALL traffic from entering from or exiting to Maple. Signage will be posted. Williamsbury and Cranbrook Cross will be open at Maple as alternatives.

At the Hamilton, Glengarry and Williamsbury intersections with Bradway, the contractors will install the concrete on one half the street at a time, to allow traffic to enter/exit onto Bradway on the other half. Once the concrete has cured, they will complete the same work on the other side. Cones and caution tape will mark the lanes that are closed.

This is the first group of M openings in the Gold section. RCOC is staggering the work to allow to residents navigate where they need to go with minimal disruption.

First group of M openings to be constructed in GOLD. Work will begin 10/4, concrete will be laid 10/6, weather permitting.
