Concrete Driveway Approaches to begin Monday 10/6 in Yellow Section

Concrete driveways

On Monday 10/6 and Tuesday 10/7, Doan is scheduled to pour concrete driveway approaches where curbs have already been laid/cured. This will impact some residents in the Indian Mound area, on Glengarry and Glengarry Circle East, and on the east side of Sandringham.

Impacted residents will be unable to access driveways for 5-7 days starting on Monday (and Tuesday if necessary). If you have requested a concrete driveway approach that still needs to be poured, ensure you remove vehicles from garages/driveway and park them elsewhere for the workday on Monday/Tuesday. After the driveways are poured, you should be able to park in the street during the workday as there will be minimal activity, except on Sandringham (curbs will begin on Tuesday 10/7 on the west side of Sandringham and the cul-de-sacs, weather permitting). Doan will place cones/caution tape to mark the new concrete; RCOC will remove the cones when the concrete is sufficiently cured to allow vehicle traffic.

If possible, please park on a different street on Monday/Tuesday while curbs are being poured. Suggested parking alternatives to reduce congestion while the curbs are being poured:

Arrange with a neighbor to park in their driveway.

Indian Mound area — Indian Mound South, Glengarry Circle East, Kent Ridge and Dorstone are alternatives.

North part of Sandringham — Ardmoor or Glengarry (north of 1466 Glengarry)

South part of Sandringham, south part of Glengarry — Glengarry Circle West or the block of Glengarry between the Circle intersections.

For those that are not able to park elsewhere, park in the street leaving space between your vehicle and any driveway to allow Doan room to maneuver.
