Updated Timing for Gold Section Curbs and Driveway Approaches

Construction timing update — Late afternoon 6/23/25

Because of the the heat today, Doan was unable to pour concrete after about noon, as the concrete was above the maximum temperature allowed. They will begin on Tuesday 6/24 on the west side of Chewton, moving toward Maple to complete the area shown in blue on the map below. Doan will then move to the bright orange area, then the Yellow area as described below. The schedule shown below will essentially shift about a half-day later than originally planned.

Bloomfield Township has given the contractors permission to start at 6 am this week only. The construction crews will be on site at 6 am doing prep work, including pounding of stakes and setting forms, with heavy equipment starting at 7 am. We understand this will be an inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Construction timing update from RCOC - Morning of 6/23/25

The end of the week last week proved to be a bit of a wash-out, with heavy rain alternating with plain rain and peeks for sunshine for good measure. Curbs and driveway approaches were delayed several days. The revised plan for this week is summarized below.

• Doan is pouring curbs today on the south side of Chewton Cross, then turning right to the west side of Chewton (blue area on map below). They will then move to the east side of N. Clifton and the west side of Hamilton between Morningview and Chewton Cross (bright orange area on map below). Once the bright orange area is completed, Doan will move on to the yellow area, picking up the short segment of Chewton Cross, then turning right to the west side of Hamilton, then turning right again to pick up the west side of Cranbrook Cross out to Maple. (Yellow area on map below). Doan will then complete curbing in the remaining prepared areas, starting on the east side of Hamilton at Maple, moving north, then turning right to curb the south side of Cranbrook Cross over to Williamsbury.

  Doan estimates that remaining curbing work will take through Wednesday this week, weather permitting. Cadillac will place notices on front doors to inform residents when curbing will start in front of their homes. Please see 6/4/25 blog post for more detail on the curbing process.

• Doan will be pouring concrete driveway approaches on the streets in the green area on the map below.

• Tuesday 6/24, Springline will begin curb and driveway approach removals on the second side of the streets in the Gold section, starting on the west side of N. Glengarry, then moving to the east side of N. Williamsbury. Please see blog post HERE for discussion of the work involved in curb/driveway approach removals, and impact on driveway access.

• The contractors will be removing barricades over driveways where the concrete has sufficiently cured, signaling that the concrete is ready for vehicle traffic.
