Road Closures Along Bradway to Begin Monday 9/21/26
Allied will begin closing the intersections of Bradway and the cross streets on Monday 9/21/26. Barricades and signage will be placed to indicate the closures. Traffic will not be able to cross or turn onto Bradway from any of the cross streets, including Cranbrook Cross, Glengarry, Williamsbury, Hamilton, Overhill, Hupp Cross, Wooddale, Roland, and Tuckahoe). Bradway will be closed to thru-traffic from Cranbrook to Lahser as early as Monday 9/21/26; barricades and signage will be posted at each end.
Please note that the entire Green section is considered a construction zone, as indicated by the posted signage. Drivers may be ticketed for not obeying the construction signage, including the “No Thru-Traffic” and “Road Closed” signs, and/or the instructions of flaggers in the construction zone. We realize this is a significant inconvenience; however, for the safety of the workers and residents alike, the road closures are a necessary step.
What if I live on Bradway?
Bradway residents will be allowed access to their driveways. Please note that materials and equipment are being stored along Bradway, and construction is active on both sides of the street. You may have to enter from the opposite end of the street than you usually do. Drive slowly and carefully; obey the instructions of the construction crew. You may experience delays as equipment/materials/construction work blocks the street during the workday. Please be patient, stay well back from the equipment and workers: proceed only when instructed to do so by the workers. If you are unsure, wait and ask. This is for your safety as well as the construction crews.
What about garbage day on Friday?
We will be working with Priority this week to confirm how garbage pick-up will be handled. We hope to be able to communicate the plan by end of the day on Wednesday 9/23.
Phase 1 paving
Allied is planning to pave the second and final layer of asphalt in Phase 1 as early as Wednesday, September 23. The recent rains have impacted Allied’s paving schedule for the Green section as well as other projects. Keep an eye on the blog for updates, which we will post as soon as we have them.
