Road Closures for Bradway Construction — 10/28/26

Road closures as of 10/28/26

  • Bradway is closed to through traffic and will remain closed until it is paved. Unless you live on Bradway, please take a different route.

  • The intersection of Bradway and Lahser is closed and will remain so until Bradway is paved. There is a small ramp and narrow lane for emergency vehicles and to allow Bradway residents to get to the west end of Bradway. This is not intended to invite any other traffic on Bradway. If you don’t live on Bradway, avoid this area.

  • The intersections of Bradway with the cross streets are closed and will remain closed until the street is paved.‍ There are no ramps from the side streets to the subgrade on Bradway and the drop can be significant. Please don’t move the barricades — they are there because you are not supposed to drive through that intersection. It shouldn’t need to be said, but since it has been an issue: DON’T DRIVE ACROSS LAWNS. Really. If you encounter a barricade that has been moved aside, it means that someone (not the construction crew) moved the barricade for their own convenience and didn’t put it back. The intersection is still intended to be closed.

  • Residents who live on Bradway will need to enter Bradway at Cranbrook or Lahser and proceed (slowly!) to their driveways.

Why are the side street intersections closed? To reduce traffic on Bradway; it hinders the construction process and is less safe for the construction crew. Quite frankly, many drivers are in too much of a hurry to wait for safe passage or follow directions. Some have chosen to drive too close to the construction equipment or very close to the workers; others have driven through wet concrete, over dirt piles, into stone piles, on lawns.
