Paving Plan for Green Section Phase 2 - 9/14/26
*** The paving schedule is weather dependent ***
Paving the first layer of asphalt in Phase 2 is planned for this Wednesday 9/16 and Friday 9/18. Allied will pave the streets in this order:
Tuckahoe, moving from Maple to Bradway;
Sunnydale, moving from Tuckahoe to Hupp Cross;
Hupp Cross, moving from Maple to Bradway;
Drury Lane, moving from Maple to Morningview:
Morningview, moving from Hupp Cross to Overhill;
Overhill, moving from Maple to Bradway.
Allied will try to complete all 6 streets on Wednesday 9/16 if possible. If they aren’t able to complete the paving Wednesday, remaining streets will be done on Friday 9/18.
Asphalt trucks will back in from Bradway to supply the pavers and will need room to navigate. There may also be construction work on Bradway on the paving days. As such, residents will want to avoid Bradway during this time.
Parking alternatives
Phase 2 streets will be completely closed to all traffic and parking on the day they are paving. Residents will not have access to their driveways — in or out — until the asphalt has cooled sufficiently to handle traffic, usually by the end of the day. Allied will remove barricades and reopen the streets as soon as traffic is allowed.
Remove vehicles from the driveway/garage and park them elsewhere before 6:30 am on the paving day. Parking suggestions:
Park north of Bradway on Tuckahoe, Hupp Cross, Wooddale, or Overhill.
Park on Morningview east of Overhill or Clifton or Hamilton.
Do not park on Bradway — it is under construction and will be used for staging asphalt trucks.
If paving on Morningview, Overhill and Drury continues into Friday, the newly paved streets (Hupp Cross, Sunnydale and Tuckahoe) will be options for parking.
Allied will provide golf carts to shuttle residents between their homes and vehicles. Cal 248-638-3190 to arrange a pick-up.
Bloomfield Township will be working with Priority Waste to develop a plan if paving on Friday is necessary.
