Paving Update — Gold Section 11/10/25

Schedule Update from Cadillac

***** All planned timing is weather dependent *****

Tuesday 11/11

  • Miller Brothers will be profile milling sections of Williamsbury and Morningview Terrace to prepare for paving. Profile milling is done where the first layer of asphalt is more than the standard 2.5 inches thick and thus doesn’t leave enough room for the second layer. The mill removes limited amounts of the first layer of asphalt to result in a consistent 1.5 inches of space between the first layer and the curb height. The second and final layer of asphalt will be laid at 1.5 inches thick. (Total thickness of asphalt upon completion will be 4 inches — 2.5 inches for the first layer plus 1.5 inches on the second layer.)

  • No parking on Williamsbury and Morningview tomorrow to allow the mill access to the areas that need milling. Park in your driveway. You will have access to the street, although there may be temporary delays.

Wednesday 11/12

  • Cadillac will pave the second and final layer of asphalt on Chewton, Chewton Cross, N. Clifton, Clifton and Morningview in that order.

  • Asphalt trucks will stage on Overhill and Morningview, then back down Morningview and into the streets being paved to supply the paver.

  • Streets being paved will be completely closed to all traffic and parking. Residents will not have driveway access — in or out — until the road is reopened at the end of the day.

Friday, 11/14

  • Cadillac will pave the second and final layer of asphalt on N. Williamsbury. Paving will be south to north, with trucks coming in from Cranbrook Cross to supply asphalt on the south Williamsbury block, and from Bradway for the northern block.

  • The pavers will be in the Indian Mound area to start the day Friday and will move to Williamsbury next.

  • We have requested that garbage pick-up for Williamsbury be moved to Monday 11/17; we will post on the blog as soon as we have confirmation.

Saturday, 11/15

  • Cadillac will pave the second and final layer of asphalt on Cranbrook Cross. Paving will start at Maple and move toward Bradway, with trucks backing in from Bradway to supply the pavers.

Access limitations during paving, parking suggestions

Roads being paved will be completely closed to all traffic and parking. Residents will not have access to their driveways — in or out — on paving day until the street is reopened at the end of the day. Parking suggestions:

Chewton, Chewton Cross, Clifton, N. Clifton — park on Hamilton or Overhill south of Morningview. Do not park on Morningview.

Morningview — park on Hamilton or Overhill south of Morningview. Stay away from corners with Morningview to allow room for pavers and asphalt trucks to navigate.

N. Williamsbury — park on Glengarry or Hamilton.

Cranbrook Cross — park on Chewton, Hamilton, Williamsbury or Glengarry leaving room between your vehicle and any corner with Cranbrook Cross.
