Bradway construction
Allied has been able to accelerate the prep work for construction on Bradway.
Asphalt milling next to the existing curb and sod removal behind the curbs has begun. This work will continue into the week of August 31 until it is completed on both sides of Bradway.
Allied will close the Bradway intersections with Tuckahoe, Roland, Hupp Cross, and Overhill on Tuesday, September 1. Traffic will not be able to access Bradway — either to turn onto or cross it — from these streets. After paving is completed in Phase 1, Allied will close the remaining Bradway intersections with the cross streets. Detour routes will depend on location in the Village - plan ahead to avoid delays once the intersections close. See map below to plan your detour route.
Don’s Restoration will follow the Allied sod removal crews to reset/adjust sprinklers.
Curb and driveway approach removals on Bradway could begin the week of August 31, depending on how quickly the sod removal is completed. Once Allied removes the existing driveway approach, they will place a temporary stone approach to allow driveway access for the next few weeks. ****Note that there can be a 2-3 hour delay between approach removal and temporary stone replacement. Residents will want to plan ahead and park outside of the construction zone if the removal work is coming down the street.**** Allied will knock on front doors before removing the driveway approach to give residents a final chance to remove vehicles. However, if no one answers the door, the work will proceed.
