Construction Update — Yellow Section 8/13/25
Construction update from RCOC
**** All planned work is weather permitting. ****
Remainder of this week
Springline will complete edge drains and preparation for curbs in the Indian Mound area, then curb and driveway approach removal on the north block of Glengarry (west side) and on the east side of Sandringham. They will then move on to underdrain installation on Glengarry and Sandringham; this work will extend into next week.
Doan will begin curbing in the prepared areas on Glengarry and Glengarry Circle East, then move on to the access road into the Indian Mound area (orange area then green area on map below.) This work is scheduled for Friday 8/15 and Saturday 8/16.
Next week
Springline will complete underdrain installation and preparation for curbs on the north block of Glengarry and Sandringham (pink area on map below) in the early part of next week.
Doan will begin curbing Monday 8/18 in the prepared areas on the Indian Mounds, in the order shown on the map below. Work will begin on Indian Mound South (moving south to north), then jump to Indian Mound Trail (moving north to south), then turn left to move clockwise around the square.
Doan will install concrete driveway approaches within a few days after the curb has been installed, in generally the same order as the curbs. Curb/driveway approach installation is planned for Monday 8/18 through Wednesday 8/20.
Toward the end of next week, once new curb/driveway approaches on the first sides of the street have cured sufficiently to allow driveway access, Springline will begin curb and driveway approach removal on the second sides of the southern block of Glengarry, on Glengarry Circle East and on the access road into the Indian Mound area (orange then green on the map below).
Late next week, Doan will begin curbing in the prepared areas on the north block of Glengarry (west side) and east side of Sandringham (pink on the map below.)
Parking and access limitations during curbing
Once curbing starts, you will not have access to your driveway for about 14 days. This period includes both installing curbs/driveway approaches and cure time for the new concrete. See further discussion of curbing and access limitations HERE. Cadillac will place front door notices about 48 hours prior to the work. Impacted residents will need to have any vehicles out of garages/driveways prior to 7 am on the date shown on the notice.
Where do I park?
Parking will admittedly be tricky in the Indian Mound area, especially next week. Please do not park during the workday on any street where there is active construction work, especially when curbs are being poured. Also, refrain from parking directly across the street from someone’s driveway, so they will be able to get in/out. Suggested alternatives:
Arrange with a neighbor across the street to park in their driveway.
Park outside of the Yellow section.
In general, park behind the work. Once the curbs and driveway approaches are poured on a given street, there will be little/no construction activity on that street until the concrete cures. Park on the side opposite the new curbs.
Glengarry and Glengarry Circle East residents — park on Glengarry closer to Bradway, on Glengarry Circle West, on Williamsbury or on Amberly. Do not park on the north block of Glengarry or on Sandringham, as these are scheduled to be under construction starting 8/13 and into next week.
Indian Mound South — park further south, in the section of IMS that is not in the Village.
Indian Mound West and Indian Mound Trail — once the curbs and driveway approaches are poured on Glengarry Circle E, residents on the west side of the Indian Mound area could use those streets for parking. Otherwise, parking outside of the Indian Mound area (on Glengarry Circle W, Amberly, Williamsbury or Glengarry closer to Bradway) would be a good option.
Indian Mound E and Indian Mound Road — For those that don’t mind a bit of a walk, Kent Ridge Court, Dorstone or Covington School would be options. Once the driveways are poured on Indian Mound Trail that would be an option as well.
For the north block of Glengarry only, the contractor has advised that the street is wide enough to accommodate parking on the east side (opposite the curbing work) so long as vehicles are parked well onto the grass between the sidewalk and the street. Leave about 50 feet of space across from any driveway to allow room for the new concrete approach to be poured.
Sandringham — the cul-de-sacs off of Sandringham will not have construction (yet) and will be an option. Glengarry Circle West is an options for residents on the south end of Sandringham.
Regardless of where you park, please lock your car and take the keys with you.
Curbing plan as of 8/12/25 for southern part of Yellow section.
